This map is made as a result of the DANSk-LSM project and MuSe-BDA. The map is showing the averaged results for the world’s 33 largest river basins. The results are made through a Bayesian merging of GRACE and GRACE-FO data with a water balance model.

Computation background
The estimates for Ground Water + Deep Soil and Surface Soil Water are computed as an integration of GRACE and GRACE- FO products into the W3RA global water balance model following:
